Dave came up with the fantastic idea of creating email accounts for the girls. It's kind of like creating bank accounts for them, except instead of money (which always seems in short supply), we put in memories! I put in advice, too. Because I can't help myself. Then, when they get all mature and grown up (or, just to be morbid, Dave and I both die in some tragic accident), we can give them the handle and password and let them delight in nostalgia. Because that notebook I got just for recording the cute things they did...that thing hasn't been updated in like 8 months.

This is a great idea! I don't have kids, but I have three nephews and I already secured their names with an @gmail.com account, a domain name (everyone will have a dot.com by the time they're teens!) and also a blogger account - just in case they want to blog.
But I never thought to send them emails. That's just an awesome idea!
